Crackled porcelain art piece were very popular during the art deco period  1920-1940 , this sailing  boat can be found as a decorative feature in  an office  created by Marcel Gascoin in 1930 , bringing some ligthness to an overall very simple and severe design , it was for a shipping company in Le Havre France .
